The best credit cards of 2026 are ranked by Card Ledger's annual evaluation of consumer credit card offers, scored across net annual value, rewards rate structure, fee transparency, welcome bonus value, perks and protections, and category fit.
Who we are
Card Ledger is an evaluation desk for consumer credit cards. We publish one ranked list per year, scored on a single public method. The desk is editorial, not a lender or an adviser: we accept no sponsored placements, every card entry links to the issuer's site, and nothing on this site is financial advice or a guarantee of approval.
How we work
Card terms are restated from dated publisher records — CNBC Select, Bankrate — before they enter a ranking, and every figure names its source and access date; anything unverified is marked as such rather than estimated. The current run is 2026.10 (10 cards, method version 2026.10). The list is updated between editions when a recorded term changes, and the annual edition is archived at a permanent URL (/rankings/2026). "Terms apply" attaches to every offer: card terms change at the issuer without notice.
